Resources To Get Started

Would you like some paper heart templates? You can print these, copy on colored paper, or use white paper and have students decorate the hearts! Either way, your hall will be filled with Hearts for Haiti!

Looking for some resources for your classroom on the Haitian earthquake?

Welcome to Classroom Hearts for Haiti!

Haiti recently suffered a terrible earthquake. Lives were lost, put in danger, and now the country is trying to recover. Our school started a project and we're hoping you will join us. We want you to join us by hosting a "Hearts for Haiti" campaign at your school. Encourage students to dig into the couch cushions, check under the seat in the car, and see what they can offer the campaign. Every penny counts! Accept a donation of any size and provide students with a small paper heart to put on the Hall of Hearts in YOUR school. As you work on covering the hall for Haiti, please send us a photo. When you finish, send another one! We'd love to post your pictures on our blog so that we can share in your project and you can help us to inspire other classrooms around the world to help Haiti.

It's so easy to get started, you can do it tomorrow. All you need are paper hearts, a bucket to collect change, tape, and a wall! Dig into your supplies and open your hearts for Haiti! You just might be inspired by what your students are capable of!

If you would like to join us, please send me an email or leave a comment and we'll add your school's name to our list!
